PathSolutions Announces the Release of TotalView 14
April 5, 2023, SANTA CLARA, California—PathSolutions, a leading provider of advanced network monitoring, network performance, and VoIP/UC management software, today announced the release of TotalView® v14, which includes the new features of Linux server monitoring, Windows OS inventory reports, BGP alerting, DNS record monitoring, SSL certificate monitoring, and enhanced Meraki API support and Palo Alto API support. This release also improves on the user interface with new filtering tools and multi-page dashboards. It also comes with a completely new configuration tool and Quick Config Wizard for backend administration.
"TotalView is both more powerful and more graphically pleasing with the updates we made this year, and I think you will be excited with the new features and enhancements,” said Tim Titus, Founder & CTO of PathSolutions.
Here are some of the key features:
Linux Server Monitoring
Linux servers can now be automatically monitored just like Windows servers are. Daemons, volume space, CPU, RAM, and availability are all monitored by default.
Windows OS Inventory Reports
You can easily get a report on the Windows operating system information for all devices in your network on the Client Monitoring tab.
BGP Peer Alerting
If a BGP peer gets disconnected or changes status, you can receive an email alert about it. With this customizable alerting feature, you can ensure things will continue to work, even if one connection goes down.
Meraki API Support
If a Cisco Meraki API key is provided, TotalView fetches additional information not available via SNMP to round out a Meraki deployment. This means that you will have the best, deepest view into Meraki equipment due to the merging of both SNMP and API information into one solution.
Palo Alto API Support
For Palo Alto Networks firewalls, TotalView fetches the management IP address, as well as tunnel IP addresses.
DNS Record Monitoring
For SecOps, you can now monitor DNS records and set up alerts of any (unexpected) record changes.
For SecOps, you can now monitor SSL certificates and watch for expiring certificates; also receive a monthly emailed report showing certificate status.
