PathSolutions Releases Live Network Performance Analysis System

SwitchMonitor now Includes AJAX Based Current Utilization Checking

September 18, 2007 Santa Clara, Calif. ― PathSolutions’ SwitchMonitor software has been updated to include AJAX fetching of current utilization information on interfaces. The AJAX fetches reduce browser resources and also permits updates to occur every 2.5 seconds instead of 5 seconds.

“This gives network administrators a live update of a link’s current bandwidth utilization,” said CTO Tim Titus. “Knowing the historical utilization of a link is good, but knowing what’s happening with a link’s current utilization is critical to evaluating the the performance capabilities of your network.”

Current utilization can be viewed on any monitored network interface in the network via any web browser. No browser plug-ins or security settings are required with this technology.

All current SwitchMonitor customers covered by a support contract will be able to upgrade to this new version for free.
